Eastshade will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on October 21! While our core team has been busy squashing bugs and delivering updates, our partner DO Games has been hard at work bringing the world of Eastshade to consoles. It has proven to be a behemoth task, but we’re finally closing in on the finish line. In under a month you can play this open-world travel simulator paint-em-up from the comfort of your sofa! Howdy all! After five years of toiling away on this weird world, we’re excited to bring you the news that Eastshade will be released for PC on February 13th, 2019. Without further ado, I present our shiny new trailer:
Its time for our second round of casting! We’re in the final stages of production. Quests are being tested, bugs are being squashed, and scripts are being finalized. And we have over 40 characters that need voices! So without further ado, here is our Eastshade open audition casting call. Please be sure to read the briefing closely!
As we approach the final stages of production, we’re finding ourselves in need of additional testing. There will come a time when broader testing is required, but at this stage in production, something that we’ve found invalueble is the ability to watch a fresh player play our game in real time. This is different than letting players play by themselves and then offer feedback, because we’re able to more easily identify bugs when we’re watching, and perhaps more importantly, easily identify the lowest hanging fruit in terms of avenues for improvement.
We’ve run out of local fresh eyes, so we’re looking for remote ones! Streamers are perfectly equipped with the gear and skills required to stream their session and talk through what they’re doing as they play. How this will work:
First we’ll have you sign an NDA
We’ll schedule a session, likely a couple hours
You will stream us your play privately over discord.
We can offer 15 USD/hour, and will pay you via paypal. It would likely be 2-8 hours total, over multiple sessions. We’ll pay you for time you spend in the sessions plus an additional hour to cover any setup time. I have no idea how many will apply, and we’ll be taking people in rounds one at a time, so we have time to make improvements between sessions. So its likely we won’t be able to accept everyone. We require the following:
A link to your twitch/youtube channel (so we can see examples of your setup quality)
Reasonable video and audio quality (we care about screen only, webcam not necessary)
A great internet connection
A solid pc, as the game isn’t fully optimized yet
Ability to think out loud as you play
A discord account (or for you to make one)
Basically we’re after a fairly regular single-player stream like you’d see on twitch, but in a private setting. If you’re interested, please apply here.
